Welcome to “Blakemere’s Kids” dedicated
to fun activities for you to enjoy whilst visiting Blakemere!
If you want to know what's on, that's going to be great fun for a sunny summer
afternoon or a wet winter morning this is the place to look first.
Crafty Pottery
In The Potters Wheel on Cherry Lane at Blakemere, you can choose from
a variety of activities including making your own pot; painting bisque ware and
plaster; or hand building with clay.
All throwing activities are by prior booking (just call in on arrival at the
centre or phone them direct before you visit), but painting and hand building
with clay are available every day on a first come first served basis and there’s
lots of space to have a go.

The
Bead Trail
The
Bead Trail workshop on Chestnut Row at Blakemere, runs wonderful
courses suitable for children aged between 5 and 15. Each
child makes either a phone charm, a tiara, a bracelet or a necklace .
Courses are available in the school holidays by prior booking only.

Birds of Prey
Visit the Bird of Prey aviaries at Cheshire Waterlife and
Falconry Centre here at Blakemere and then enjoy one of their Flying
Displays in their all weather arena held at 2pm and 4pm daily between

Barny Bear: Term Time club for parents & toddlers; Tuesday & Thursday
mornings 9am – 12 noon. A social event for grown-ups and children alike.
Special Barny Bear Club introductory offer - free pot of tea or cup of
filter coffee for every adult attending with a child up to the 30th June 2008 -
not to be used in conjunction with any other offer.
Jo Jingles: Music & movement workshops for children aged

Chocolate
Making
The Chocolate Box at Blakemere runs delicious pre-booked
chocolate making parties. Each child makes six chocolate
fondant filled hedgehogs, that they can take home with them – if
there’s any left! Available by prior booking only,

Outdoor
Adventure Play Area
Come along and have lots of fun on our
new ‘free’ outdoor
play area. With slides,
climbing frames, swings, zip wires and see saws that are suitable for children
aged from 2 to 11 years there’s plenty of fun to be enjoyed!
Entertainment
Every Bank Holiday weekend we have free entertainment
in the cobbled courtyard area.
On Bank Holiday Sunday's, come and learn new skills in our Circus Workshops from
11.30am to 4.30pm, including juggling, plate spinning, Diablo, stilt walking
and uni-cycling.
On Bank Holiday Mondays enjoy live music performed
throughout the day from 11.30am to 4.30pm, and play our giant board games such
as draughts, quoits, noughts and crosses, and connect 4!
Children’s Birthday Parties
If you're looking for a Birthday Party that’s a little bit different,
