Blakemere Craft Centre - Disabled Access
Blakemere currently has two wheelchairs, which can be reserved in advance by telephoning 01606 883261.  They are located in the Paddocks Restaurant for you to collect on arrival.

With regards to disabled facilities, Blakemere has three disabled toilets, one located in the restaurant, one in the toilet block situated adjacent to the courtyard and stable block and the third adjacent to The Candle Supply Company at the lower part of the centre.

We have disabled access to the restaurant, toilet block, all craft shops and workshops, the indoor children’s playbarn and the aquatic and falconry centre.

However, we must point out that due to the proportions of the Edwardian Stable Block the size of the craft shops located in this area are not large and cannot facilitate more than one to two wheelchairs at a time.  We also advise that helpers are on hand especially in the courtyard as it is cobbled and in parts a little uneven due to its age.

The craft fairs are located on the ground floor in their premises on Birchwood Lane and are open 7 days per week, still with free admission.

Cheshire Waterlife is accessible for wheelchairs but the close proximity of the two entrance doors would require assistance from a helper.  They also have an indoor arena for their flying display, but the footpath from the car park through to the display arena is awaiting tarmacing.  It can be accessed by wheelchairs but will need assistance to help them over the hardcore already laid on the path.

I hope that the above is informative, but if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us on 01606 883261.

We look forward to welcoming you to Blakemere.
