Keep the kids entertained at Blakemere!
If you’re looking for great ideas to keep the kids entertained this summer holiday then come to Blakemere and enjoy a really great day out!
With free admission and parking you really can’t go wrong! Just pay for the activities you want to join in, that way you’re only paying for the ‘bits’ you want. Whether that’s pottery painting, craft activities such as jewellery making or creative sewing, energetic indoor fun in Barnaby’s Play Barn, 9 or 18 holes on our Supa Golf course, Walking on Water in giant orbs or enjoying the fantastic Bird of Prey Flying Displays at 2pm and 4pm each day.
Plus you can wander around all of the wonderful shops, Antique Emporium and children’s Adventure Play Park that Blakemere has on offer each day, absolutely free, before savouring breakfast, a snack or homemade cakes in our Coffee Shop or a lunchtime carvery, snack, afternoon tea or evening meal in The Coach House Bar & Restaurant.
So get yourself down to Blakemere and have a really great time this summer holidays! Open daily from 10am – 5pm including August Bank Holiday.

New arrivals in Lifestyle Art & Crafts
Following our very successful trip to Indonesia in March during which we visited several areas and opened a new manufacturing and supply base on Bali, we are pleased to announce the arrival of our first container from Bali, Indonesia. We now have a brand new range of wooden giraffes, mosaic bowls and mirrors, carved dragons, buddha’s, djembe drums and a huge range of beautiful handmade lamps which complements our existing range from Thailand. All our giraffes are handmade in Bali by one family, with each item carved and treated before being painted with up to five coats of paint.

‘Garden with Blakemere’
Summer bedding is now coming to an end but you can still add to your gardens by planting gorgeous shrubs and perennials from the vast range currently available. Four Seasons Garden Shop, at Blakemere currently have an excellent selection of perennials for £4.20 each or 2 for £8.00, or take advantage of our Shrub Offers at £4.00 each or 4 for £15. We currently have an excellent selection of Heuchera shrubs with beautiful colourful foliages, available for just £6.80 each.
All our Summer Hanging Baskets are now reduced so call in and pick up a bargain while stock lasts.

Supa Golf News ...
Don’t miss this year’s Supa Golf’s “Summer Holiday Offer”. Children can play 18 holes for the price of 9 holes on our fantastic Supa Golf course from Monday to Friday throughout July and August. Supa Golf is a fantastic way to keep the children occupied this summer – send them to Supa Golf at Blakemere for a fun filled day out.

“Summer Savers” at Peepultree ...
Peepultree are continuing the solid Oak furniture sale with massive savings of 25% across all pieces in stock. In addition, this month we are also offering AOC Leather dining chairs at a huge £35 discount per chair, now only £60 each!
For those with an enquiring mind we also have a couple of puzzles made from solid rosewood which are half price this month. The “jailed cube” is a fiendish test of wits for all ages from 10 upwards where you have to learn how to unlock the lattice…and then reassemble it! “Dice Magic” is a wooden die with brass spots that comes apart into 9 equal sized pieces. Once it is in pieces you have to reassemble the die but make sure you end up with all the opposite sides being equal to 7! This puzzle sounds so simple yet is such a challenge – hours of fun, frustration and enjoyment for all.
We are awaiting a shipment of new stock from India which should arrive mid August with lots of lovely new ethnic craft items and textiles so make sure to pop in to see us next time you come to Blakemere.

Weekly Watercolour Art Classes
Professional artist and art tutor Chris Beesley, will be running weekly daytime Watercolour painting classes at Blakemere starting in September.
If you have ever wanted to paint but didn't know where to start then come and join us at Blakemere Craft Centre, the perfect place to create your first masterpiece. Join Chris Beesley as he demonstrates and takes you through the watercolour process including wet on wet, using candles, masking fluid, salt and many more techniques that watercolour has to offer. Whether you’re a complete beginner or just want to improve your artistic flair, Chris can offer guidance and support in these structured but laidback style of classes.
